Information You Submit
Text entered into a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you send us a message, we receive the details you choose to provide and use them to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps us maintain the site and see which resources visitors use. Cookies or similar tools may also support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use the Data
We use this limited information to run the site, diagnose errors, measure general traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles.
Privacy on Linked Websites
Links may lead to City of La Puente pages, Los Angeles County or California portals, library collections, and outside search tools. Information submitted after leaving this site is governed by the destination's privacy policy. The same is true for sponsored results, which an outside company provides.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support vendors process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose data when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise share visitor information.
Safeguards and Retention
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for the purposes stated here. Since no user accounts are offered, this site does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Applicable privacy law may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a website. Because our data is limited, a request usually involves checking our contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. California residents can also review the California Privacy Protection Agency Data Broker Registry and DROP, which became available for deletion requests on January 1, 2026; registered brokers must begin processing DROP requests on August 1, 2026. DROP does not erase government public records. Records kept by La Puente, Los Angeles County, or California agencies remain under the custodian's control and the California Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, sections 7920.000-7931.000.
Updates to This Policy
Any revised policy will appear here. Continuing to use La Puente People Search after an update means you accept the new version.
